1. Product Introduction & Main Application
Arnico’s High Temperature Transformer Oil (HTO) is a highly refined mineral dielectric oil with exceptional oxidation stability, specifically designed for the cooling and electrical insulation of power transformers, reactors, and other high-voltage equipment. With its ultra-low viscosity and resistance to sludge formation, this oil guarantees the safe and long-term performance of equipment under high temperatures and heavy loading conditions.

3. Features & Benefits
-
Unmatched Oxidation Stability: The Inhibited Grade, with antioxidant additives, drastically extends the oil’s service life and prevents the formation of acid and sludge at high operating temperatures.
-
Excellent Dielectric Properties: High breakdown voltage and low dissipation factor ensure the electrical safety of the transformer, even under fault conditions.
-
Superior Heat Transfer: The low viscosity and very low pour point enable effective oil circulation and cooling of the core and windings, even in harsh winter conditions.
-
System Compatibility: Non-corrosive to copper components and fully compatible with transformer seals and gaskets.
4. Industrial Applications
-
Power Transformers: The primary insulating and cooling fluid in large transmission and sub-transmission transformers.
-
Distribution Transformers: Used in pole-mounted and ground-level urban distribution transformers.
-
Reactors & High-Voltage Equipment: Cooling and insulating current-limiting reactors.
-
High-Voltage Oil-Filled Cables: The dielectric fluid in OF and HPFF power cables.
5. Safety & Handling
-
MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet): This material is a mild skin irritant. Hot oil causes burns. The Arnico MSDS file must be obtained.
-
Storage Conditions: Store in clean, sealed containers, away from moisture, dust, and direct sunlight. Contamination with water and solid particles must be strictly prevented.
-
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): When sampling and decanting, the use of oil-resistant gloves and safety goggles is recommended.
6. Quality Assurance & COA
All Arnico HTO shipments are supplied with a complete Certificate of Analysis (COA) including breakdown voltage, DDF, and pour point tests, in accordance with IEC 60296.
