1. Product Introduction & Main Application
Arnico’s Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) is natural gas, predominantly methane, that has been cooled via a deep refrigeration process to approximately -162°C, transforming it into a clear, colorless, odorless cryogenic liquid with 600 times less volume. This strategic fuel, the cleanest burning fossil fuel in the world, is used for long-distance natural gas transportation, power plant fuel, and as a clean fuel for ships and heavy-duty trucks.

3. Features & Benefits
-
The Cleanest Fossil Fuel: Completely clean combustion without soot or SOx, and with a 90% reduction in NOx and a 25% reduction in CO₂ compared to heavy fuel oil and coal.
-
Dramatic Volume Reduction (600:1): Conversion to a liquid at cryogenic temperatures makes it economically viable to transport gas from remote fields to consumer markets.
-
High Safety in Transport: Features a very high flash point, a narrow flammability range, and vapors that are lighter than air and rapidly disperse in the event of a leak.
-
Consumption Flexibility: After regasification, it can be injected into the city gas network or used directly as a fuel for power plants and industrial use.
4. Industrial Applications
-
Power Generation: The primary fuel for modern combined-cycle power plants, replacing coal and heavy fuel oil.
-
Petrochemical Industry: A gaseous feedstock for the production of methanol, ammonia, and urea.
-
Heavy-Duty Transport: Fuel for LNG-powered trucks and ocean-going ships in compliance with IMO 2020 standards.
-
City Gas Networks: Supplying natural gas during peak winter demand from strategic storage facilities.
5. Safety & Handling
-
MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet): LNG is a cryogenic liquid at -162°C, and contact with it causes severe cold burns. In confined spaces, it causes asphyxiation. The MSDS file must be obtained from Arnico.
-
Storage Conditions: Stored exclusively in specialized double-walled, vacuum-insulated full containment tanks at dedicated cryogenic facilities. Any heat ingress causes vaporization and pressure increase (boil-off).
-
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): When handling, the use of specialized cryogenic clothing and gloves, a face shield, and safety shoes is mandatory.
6. Quality Assurance & COA
All Arnico LNG shipments are accompanied by a Certificate of Quality (COQ) detailing the precise GC composition and gross heating value.
