1. Product Introduction & Main Application
Arnico’s General Purpose Polystyrene (GPPS) is a transparent, amorphous, and glassy thermoplastic of high purity, produced from the mass or solution polymerization of styrene monomer. Known as “crystal” polystyrene, it provides high optical clarity (over 90%), surface hardness, and exceptional gloss, making it the primary material for the production of transparent disposable containers, drinking tumblers, CD/DVD cases, and decorative and display items.

5. Safety & Handling

MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet): The granules are safe. Styrene vapors are released at processing temperatures. The Arnico MSDS file must be obtained.

Storage Conditions: Store in 25kg bags in a dry, cool warehouse, away from organic solvents (like thinners) which cause stress cracking.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Adequate ventilation and gloves for hot product.
6. Quality Assurance & COA
Arnico GPPS shipments are accompanied by a Certificate of Analysis (COA) detailing the MFI, transparency, and residual monomer content.
