Gas Condensate (Natural Gas Condensate / Lease Condensate)

Gas Condensate

“The light, sweet crude from the gas field: the premium, high-value feedstock for refineries and splitters.” Arnico’s Gas Condensate is the ultra-light, highly valuable hydrocarbon liquid that is separated from raw natural gas at the wellhead. With a very high API gravity, it is a rich source of naphtha, kerosene, and diesel cuts, making it an ideal and premium feedstock for refineries and petrochemical plants. Low in sulfur and free from heavy metals, our condensate offers a superior refining margin and is a strategic, high-quality input for maximizing the production of clean fuels and olefins.
Description More

1. Product Introduction & Main Application

Arnico’s Gas Condensate is a clear, highly volatile, and extremely valuable hydrocarbon liquid obtained from natural gas wells, separating from the gas as a liquid at ambient temperature. Also known as “natural gasoline,” this product, due to its richness in light paraffins and its absence of heavy compounds, is an ideal and premium feedstock for refineries (for producing gasoline and naphtha) and petrochemical steam cracking units.

2. Technical Specifications

Technical Parameter Refinery Feed Grade Export Grade Unit

Total Sulfur ≤ 0.1 (1000 ppm) ≤ 0.05 (500 ppm) %
Distillation Range 30 – 250 30 – 200 °C
Pour Point ≤ -30 ≤ -40 °C
Flash Point < 0 < 0 °C
Mercaptans (RSH) ≤ 50 ≤ 30 ppm

3. Features & Benefits

  • Ultra-Light & Valuable Refinery Feed: Its high API Gravity maximizes the yield of gasoline and petrochemical naphtha.

  • Free from Heavy Metals & Asphaltenes: Eliminates the need for complex upgrading processes, reducing refinery operational costs.

  • Raw Material for Polymer Chains: A strategic source of ethane, propane, butane, and pentane for olefin crackers.

  • Relatively Low Sulfur & Mercaptans: Allows for direct use in some processes without complex sweetening.

4. Industrial Applications

  • Refineries: A feedstock for atmospheric distillation units to produce gasoline, naphtha, and jet fuel.

  • Petrochemicals: A primary feed for steam crackers and olefin production units.

  • Solvent Production: A raw material for paraffinic solvents.

  • Heavy Oil Diluent: Reduces the viscosity of extra-heavy crude oils for pipeline transport.

5. Safety & Handling

  • MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet): This liquid is extremely flammable and volatile. Its vapors, heavier than air, are highly explosive, and inhalation is toxic and narcotic. The Arnico MSDS is vital.

  • Storage Conditions: Store in floating-roof tanks with full seals, a vapor recovery system, and earthing, in an environment completely away from sparks.

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Anti-static clothing, anti-spark shoes, a respirator with an AX filter, and an emergency shower are required.

6. Quality Assurance & COA

Arnico Gas Condensate shipments are accompanied by a Certificate of Quality (COQ) with a complete ASTM analysis.

Technical documents for the product Gas Condensate including the Technical Data Sheet (TDS), Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), and Certificate of Analysis (COA), are available to customers upon request.
