1. Product Introduction & Main Application

Arnico’s Formalin is a clear, colorless solution of formaldehyde gas in water at a 37% concentration, supplied with methanol as a stabilizer. This highly reactive chemical substance is one of the most basic industrial intermediates in the world, serving as the primary raw material for the production of various engineering resins (Urea-Formaldehyde, Phenol-Formaldehyde, and Melamine-Formaldehyde) as industrial wood adhesives, and as a powerful disinfectant and preservative.

5. Safety & Handling

  • MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet): This solution is toxic, corrosive, and a severe irritant. Its vapors are carcinogenic and cause respiratory sensitization. The Arnico MSDS is mandatory.

  • Storage Conditions: Store in 304 stainless steel or polyethylene tanks, at a temperature of 20-30°C (to prevent paraformaldehyde precipitation in cold), and away from oxidizers and alkalis.

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): A full-face respirator with a specific formaldehyde canister, acid-resistant clothing, neoprene gloves, and chemical goggles are required.

6. Quality Assurance & COA

Arnico Formalin shipments are accompanied by a Certificate of Analysis (COA) detailing the formaldehyde concentration, methanol content, and acidity.
