Crude Oil (Light & Heavy Export Grades)

Crude Oil

“The lifeblood of the global economy: the complex hydrocarbon mixture from the earth, powering civilization.” Arnico’s Crude Oil is the unrefined, complex, and valuable mixture of hydrocarbons extracted from deep within the earth, supplied in its natural, liquid form. As the irreplaceable primary raw material for the world’s refineries, our light, sweet, and heavy sour grades provide the essential feedstock for producing the vital fuels—gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel—and the petrochemicals that form the backbone of modern life. From powering transport to creating plastics and pharmaceuticals, it is the ultimate source material.
Description More

1. Product Introduction & Main Application

Arnico’s Crude Oil is a complex, natural mixture of liquid hydrocarbons in a black, viscous form, extracted from the earth and supplied in various light and heavy grades. Known as “Black Gold,” this substance is the primary and irreplaceable raw material for refineries in the production of vital fuels (gasoline, diesel, jet fuel), petrochemicals, and an infinite range of chemical products.

3. Features & Benefits

  • Light & Sweet Grade: Offers a high yield of gasoline, diesel, and naphtha at a lower refining cost and a higher commercial value.

  • Heavy & Sour Grade: Lower base price with the potential for upgrading in complex refineries to higher-value products.

  • A Stable Source of Energy & Materials: Supplies the primary feed for power plants, transport, and the petrochemical industry.

  • Process Predictability: A precise assay that makes refinery simulation and product yield prediction accurate.

4. Industrial Applications

  • Refineries: The production of gasoline, naphtha, diesel, kerosene, and jet fuel.

  • Petrochemicals: The feed for ethylene and propylene crackers and aromatics units.

  • Power Plants: Direct fuel for some steam power plants.

  • Lubricant Production: The source of lube oil fractions for the production of base oil and greases.

5. Safety & Handling

  • MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet): This liquid is flammable and toxic. Its vapors contain H₂S and BTEX and are extremely hazardous. The Arnico MSDS is vital for safe handling.

  • Storage Conditions: Store in floating-roof tanks with complete safety systems, away from sparks, heat, and static electricity.

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): A respirator with an AX and H₂S filter, anti-static clothing, and chemical-resistant gloves are required.

6. Quality Assurance & COA

Arnico Crude Oil shipments are accompanied by a Certificate of Quality (COQ) and a complete chromatography and True Boiling Point (TBP) assay.

Technical documents for the product Crude Oil including the Technical Data Sheet (TDS), Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), and Certificate of Analysis (COA), are available to customers upon request.
