1. Product Introduction & Main Application

Arnico’s Chlorine is a greenish-yellow gas with a very pungent and suffocating odor, produced from the electrolysis of brine (NaCl) and liquefied under pressure. This substance is a foundational element in the modern chemical industry, with its primary applications in the production of Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC), the disinfection of drinking water and swimming pools, the production of bleach (hypochlorite), and the manufacture of a wide range of other chlorinated compounds.

5. Safety & Handling

  • MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet): This gas is highly toxic, asphyxiating, a strong oxidizer, and corrosive. Its inhalation causes immediate lung destruction and death. The Arnico MSDS is vital and mandatory.

  • Storage Conditions: Store in special carbon steel cylinders or tanks under pressure, in an open, extremely well-ventilated environment, completely away from organic materials, hydrocarbons, powdered metals, and moisture. Emergency scrubber systems and continuous monitoring are mandatory.

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Level A full chemical protection equipment, a Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA), and Viton gloves are required.

6. Quality Assurance & COA

Arnico Chlorine shipments are accompanied by a Certificate of Analysis (COA) with a precise analysis of critical impurities (H₂O, NCl₃).
