Industrial Amine Blend (Corrosion Inhibitor & Synthesis Grade)

Amines

“The sharp, reactive bases: the powerful corrosion inhibitors for oilfields and the versatile intermediates for synthesis.” Arnico’s Industrial Amine Blend is the high-performance, volatile mixture of lower alkyl amines that serves as a powerful and cost-effective solution for the world’s most demanding industrial challenges. In the oil and gas industry, its strong neutralizing and film-forming properties make it an essential corrosion inhibitor for protecting critical infrastructure. As a chemical intermediate, its high reactivity makes it the key building block for synthesizing vital agrochemicals and rubber accelerators. It’s the sharp, reactive tool for protection and production.
Description More

1. Product Introduction & Main Application

Arnico’s Industrial Amine Blend is a clear to pale yellow liquid with a strong ammoniacal odor, obtained from the reaction of heavy alcohols with ammonia or as a by-product of certain refining processes. This mixture, which includes diethylamine, triethylamine, and isopropylamine, is used as a corrosion inhibitor in the oil and gas and water treatment industries, as an acid neutralizer, and as a chemical intermediate for the synthesis of herbicides and rubber vulcanization accelerators.

3. Features & Benefits

  • A Powerful Corrosion Inhibitor: Forms a stable protective film on metal surfaces in oil wells, pipelines, and boilers.

  • An Acid Neutralizer: Regulates pH and removes acidic gases (H₂S) from gaseous and liquid streams.

  • Multi-Purpose Reactivity: A raw material for the production of triazine and carbamate herbicides.

  • Economical Price: A cost-effective option compared to pure amines for general industrial applications.

4. Industrial Applications

  • Oil & Gas Industry: A corrosion inhibitor in well acidizing, transmission pipelines, and refineries.

  • Water Treatment: A pH neutralizer and corrosion inhibitor in steam cycles.

  • Agriculture: A raw material in the synthesis of herbicides (atrazine, simazine).

  • Rubber Industry: A sulfur-curing accelerator.

5. Safety & Handling

  • MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet): This substance is highly flammable, corrosive, and toxic. Inhalation of its vapors is hazardous. The Arnico MSDS is mandatory.

  • Storage Conditions: Store in sealed steel or carbon steel tanks, under a nitrogen blanket, in a cool environment, away from sparks and acids.

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): A respirator with a K (ammonia/amine) filter, Viton gloves, and acid-resistant clothing are required.

6. Quality Assurance & COA

Arnico Amine Blend shipments are accompanied by a Certificate of Analysis (COA) detailing the amine value, density, and percentage composition.
