1. Product Introduction & Main Application
Arnico’s Emulsion PVC (E-PVC), also known as Paste PVC, is a very fine, white powder produced by the emulsion polymerization of VCM, with very small, spherical primary particles (1-2 microns). The unique feature of this grade is its ability to form a stable paste or plastisol upon mixing with plasticizers, which is used for the production of synthetic coverings, flooring, artificial leather, and toys.
2. Technical Specifications
| Technical Parameter | Standard Plastisol Grade | Foaming Grade | Unit |

| Residue on 63 µm Sieve | ≤ 1 | ≤ 1 | % |
| Volatile Matter | ≤ 0.5 | ≤ 0.5 | % |
| Residual VCM | ≤ 1 | ≤ 1 | ppm |
| Bulk Density | 0.30 – 0.45 | 0.35 – 0.50 | g/cm³ |
3. Features & Benefits
-
Forms a Fluid & Stable Plastisol: Complete dispersion in plasticizers with a controllable viscosity for spread coating and dipping processes.
-
High K-Value Foaming Grade: High melt strength that traps gas bubbles and creates uniform, closed-cell foams.
-
Ultra-Fine Particle Size: Creates a smooth and uniform surface on synthetic leather and coatings.
-
Fast Gelation: Shorter curing time in ovens, increasing production line efficiency.
4. Industrial Applications
-
Flooring & Wall Coverings: Roll flooring and vinyl tiles.
-
Artificial Leather: Upholstery, handbags, and footwear coatings.
-
Toys & Medical Goods: Dolls, balls, and medical gloves (with safe plasticizers).
-
Protective Coatings: Anti-stone chip underbody car coatings.
5. Safety & Handling
-
MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet): The powder is non-toxic, but its dust is an irritant. The Arnico MSDS file must be obtained.
-
Storage Conditions: Store in moisture-proof bags, in a dry, cool warehouse (below 35°C).
-
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): A P2 mask and safety goggles are recommended.
6. Quality Assurance & COA
Arnico E-PVC shipments are accompanied by a Certificate of Analysis (COA) detailing the K-Value and apparent viscosity.
