1. Product Introduction & Main Application

Arnico’s Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) is a white, powder thermoplastic polymer produced from the polymerization of Vinyl Chloride Monomer (VCM). It is the third most widely used plastic in the world after polyethylene and polypropylene. This versatile material is supplied in two main forms: rigid (uPVC) and flexible (with plasticizers), and is used in the production of water and sewage pipes, window and door profiles, electrical cables, flooring, and thousands of other products.

3. Features & Benefits

High Porosity S-PVC: Provides fast and uniform absorption of plasticizers for the production of soft PVC (cables, flooring) without fish-eye gels.
Excellent Mechanical & Chemical Resistance (uPVC): Enables the production of rigid pipes with a long lifespan under pressure and chemical attack.
Good Thermal Stability: Can be processed in extruders and injection molding machines with minimal degradation.
Minimal Residual Monomer (VCM < 1 ppm): Complete safety for applications involving contact with drinking water and food.

5. Safety & Handling

MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet): The powder is non-toxic but its dust is a mechanical irritant. When burned, it releases corrosive HCl gas. The Arnico MSDS file must be obtained.
Storage Conditions: Store in multi-layer bags, in a dry, cool warehouse (below 40°C), away from moisture and direct sunlight. It is not hygroscopic.
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): A P2 dust mask and safety goggles are recommended.

6. Quality Assurance & COA

Arnico PVC shipments are accompanied by a Certificate of Analysis (COA) detailing the K-Value, bulk density, and porosity.
