1. Product Introduction & Main Application

Arnico’s n-Hexane is a clear, colorless, highly volatile, linear aliphatic hydrocarbon obtained from crude oil distillation. Due to its exceptional and selective solvency for oils and fats, this substance is mainly used as the primary solvent in the process of extracting edible oils from oilseeds (such as soybeans, rapeseed, and sunflower) and in the production of adhesives and precision cleaning.

5. Safety & Handling

  • MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet): This liquid is highly flammable and hazardous. Its vapors are heavier than air, and inhalation causes neurological damage (neuropathy). The Arnico MSDS must be obtained without fail.

  • Storage Conditions: Store in nitrogen-blanketed tanks, in a completely cool environment, away from light, sparks, and static electricity. All equipment must be explosion-proof.

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): The use of a full-face respirator with an AX filter, Viton gloves, and anti-static clothing is mandatory.

6. Quality Assurance & COA

Arnico n-Hexane shipments are accompanied by a Certificate of Analysis (COA) with a precise GC analysis, including benzene and sulfur content.
