Description More

1. Product Introduction & Main Application

Arnico’s Sodium Hypochlorite, commonly known as Javel Water or Bleach, is a pale yellow liquid with a sharp chlorine odor, serving as an extremely powerful oxidizing agent. Supplied in various industrial concentrations, it is the most powerful and economical disinfectant, bleach, and deodorizer for municipal and industrial water treatment, the textile industry, and sanitation processes worldwide.

3. Features & Benefits

  • Broad-Spectrum Disinfection Power: Rapid and effective destruction of bacteria, viruses, fungi, and algae, even at low dosages.

  • Stable Formulation: Minimal free chlorine gas loss during storage due to precise control of alkalinity and metal impurities.

  • High Clarity & Purity (Water Treatment Grade): Exceptionally low iron and heavy metal content prevents sedimentation and water discoloration.

  • Safer Alternative to Chlorine Gas: Liquid handling with simple dosing and significantly lower operational risk compared to gas chlorine systems.

4. Industrial Applications

  • Water & Wastewater Treatment: Final disinfection of drinking water, network chlorination, and odor control in wastewater treatment plants.

  • Food & Dairy Industry: Disinfection of equipment, tanks, pipelines, and washing of fruits and vegetables (CIP systems).

  • Textile Industry: The primary bleaching agent for cotton and linen fabrics, removing natural color impurities.

  • Chemical Industry: An oxidizer in the production of hydrazine, epoxides, and the synthesis of organic chlorinated compounds.

5. Safety & Handling

  • MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet): This material is corrosive, a strong oxidizer, and a severe respiratory irritant. Contact with acids liberates lethal chlorine gas. Studying the Arnico MSDS is mandatory.

  • Storage Conditions: Store in PE or FRP tanks with titanium coating in a cool (below 25°C), dark, and well-ventilated environment. Direct sunlight and heat must be strictly avoided (risk of decomposition and explosion).

  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): When injecting and decanting, the use of a full-face respirator with an acid gas/chlorine filter, acid-resistant clothing, and PVC gloves is mandatory.

6. Quality Assurance & COA

All Arnico Sodium Hypochlorite shipments are supplied with a Certificate of Analysis (COA) detailing the exact active chlorine percentage, titrated at the moment of loading.

Technical documents for the product Sodium Hypochlorite including the Technical Data Sheet (TDS), Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS), and Certificate of Analysis (COA), are available to customers upon request.
